Southside Personnel Services are aware that no two agencies are the same. We take the necessary steps to research each organisation we provide services to. In doing so, we gain a true understanding of the specific requirements of that organisation, which enables us to develop and deliver recruitment solutions to meet different requirements and streamline a quicker, more efficient service.
Our service is based on our Service Delivery Management System which is responsible for managing the delivery of consistent and reliable services and delivering our service promise and includes; management controls, customer management processes, staff competencies, IT and Infrastructure support and quality controlled documentation.

The range of HR services provided under this contract have been classified under eight categories. Southside Personnel provide services in the following 3 categories:
A description of the range of tasks/activities under each category is provided below.
Job Classification (Category 1)
Southside Personnel Services can assist in preparing a proposal for classification review and will ensure that all documentation is complete and the proposal presented is well argued.
In preparing the proposal, a classification assessment of the position is completed which will include the following information:
- a completed JDF for a new position or revised JDF for a reclassification request;
- a summary of the work value considerations and any changes to the work value if a reclassification is being proposed;
- a completed Job Evaluation Questionnaire (JEQ) and compilation of the BIPERS results;
- comparison of the position with other similar positions - both internal and similar external relativities should be considered and compared;
- the impact on other positions in the agency and potential for flow-ons;
- the reporting relationship of the position and comments on any structural implication or constraints;
- the impact of the position on the agency's budget and if a restructure including several positions is proposed the impact on the classification profile of the agency;
- comment on the abolition of any SES position as a consequence of this proposal;
- the recommended classification level
Recruitment and Selection (Category 2)
In the public sector, effective recruitment and selection of people is fundamental to achieving organisational goals for delivering quality services to the WA community.
Southside Personnel Services are available to assist with the important task of attracting, selecting and recruiting talented people and are able to ensure that practices and decisions are consistent with government policy, standards and legislation effecting recruitment and help manage the main areas of a recruitment process.
Southside Personnel can assist with:
- Preparing recruitment advertising
- Short-list applicants
- Prepare interview questions
- Be a Selection panelist
- Scribe
- Draft selection reports
- Act as a post box for applicants inclusive of receiving applications and distribute information packages in relation to the recruitment process
- Undertake reference checks
- Debrief successful and unsuccessful applicants
- Undertake alternative assessment methods
Southside Personnel are aware of and follow the following Government policies, standards and legislation effecting recruitment and assist agencies to:
- Ensure an absence of discrimination in recruitment practices and comply with the equal employment opportunity legislation;
- Comply with the Public Sector Standard for Recruitment Selection and Appointment and the principles of Merit, Equity and Probity in the Public Sector Management Act 1984, and the Public Sector Management (Breaches of the Public Sector Standards) Regulations 2005;
- Implement agency workforce diversity objectives as part of a broader Equity and Diversity Plan for the Western Australian Public Sector Workforce;
- Comply with government policy on the use of the Recruitment and Applicant Management System and the Candidate Management System;
- Comply with the government policy for obtaining redeployment clearance to advertise positions, and;
- Comply with the government policy for recruitment advertising.
- Provide guidance and/or advice in relation to recruitment and selection.
Pool Recruitment
Southside Personnel can assist with: recruitment, selection and appointment mechanism that enables public sector agencies to conduct a single recruitment and selection process to assess the suitability of a number of applicants for appointment to fill:
- A current vacancy or a particular class of current vacancies
- A future vacancy or a particular class of future vacancies
